Fabrication and Mechanical Properties of FeAl Metal-Intermetallic Laminated (MIL) Composite

چکیده

Abstract With the rapid development of science and technology, requirements for material performance in fields such as defense military industry are getting higher higher, it is becoming more difficult to meet multiple with a single at same time. Inspired by special structure shells, Metal-Intermetallic-Laminated composites (MIL) composite, low-cost, multifunctional properties have been prepared combine advantages each component achieve that cannot be achieved material. In this paper, Fe/FeAl laminated were stacking pure Fe foil Al alternately using vacuum hot-pressure sintering process first consume all layers reacting 655°C period time, then ramping up 950°C high-temperature annealing different holding times. The microstructure phase composition analyzed SEM EDS, static dynamic compressive strength failure strain measured universal testing machine Hopkinson rod.
